The mind is a powerful tool to either construct or dismantle. It is not a tangible tool like a hammer used to pound nails. It is not something you can touch or point to and say, “There is mind.” You can’t go to the store to purchase a mind tool like a handyman purchases tools to fix or build something. However, your mind is more powerful than all the material tools combined.Eckhart Tolle, best-selling author of The Power of Now and A New Earth, says, “Your mind is an instrument, a tool. It is there to be used for a specific task, and when the task is completed you lay it down. As it is, I would say about 80 to 90 percent of most people’s thinking is not only repetitive and useless, but because of its dysfunctional and often negative nature, much of it is also harmful.”
Change offers you the opportunity to change your mind to be the change you desire. Change is an opportunity to go where your heart listens to its own whispers and unplug the mindless, worn out tapes keeping you stuck in the past and running your future.
