Be All Your Can Be without Boulders

“If you stand up and be counted, from time to time you may get yourself knocked down.  But remember this: A man flattened by an opponent can get up again.  A man flattened by conformity stays down for good.”—Thomas J. Watson, Jr.

Boulders that keep you from being all you can be, doing what brings you fulfillment and living life fully engaged comes in different shapes, sizes, and forms. One characteristic is staying so busy that you don’t have time to use solitude to tap into the goldmine of your inner wisdom for solutions.

Another boulder is disguised with limited thinking fearful of the unknown. The more resistance to change the stronger it will persist with more boulders holding you down.

The boulder of avoiding risk for fear of failure is a success stopper. Champions in sports, business, and life are great role models. They point out that a major reason they succeeded is because they were willing to strike out more often than most and they were committed to their vision.

Tips to the Top of Your Mountain without Boulders

1. Focus on what you want not on what you don’t’ want. It can be difficult focusing on the new change when it hasn’t been experienced, but starting to visualize the goal as if you already had it attracts situations, events, people and things to you. Consistently thinking of what you don’t want actually is fueling the manifestation of getting more of what you don’t want. What you focus on brings you more of the same. Focus on what you want. Believe it. And take action

2. What do champions focus on? Do they focus on losing? They focus on winning! They plan their desired outcome; they learn the necessary habits, skills and strategies it takes to win, and practice, practice, practice. They are willing to fall and learn that winning is more about how they get up after a fall.

3. Only you can be the champion of your life. You hold the key to letting the past be the past. Let go of what no longer serves your vision of something better. Look at what is important to you. We are all meant to serve by doing what we are destined to bring forth for the highest good of all. It isn’t that you can’t, the question is “will you?”
